Grade Level Donations

S1  Kindergarten  –  Ride to School with Concord Chief of Police
Your child will be the talk of the neighborhood (in a good way!) as a police car pulls up to provide transportation to school. He or she will be picked up at home and driven to school in a Concord Police Car by the Chief-of-Police, William Chase. Date to be scheduled for springtime. Don’t miss this rare opportunity that your child will never forget.  Value:  Priceless!

S2  Kindergarten – Summer Fun Package  Get ready for summer!  Parents (and kids) looking for an evening activity can use a total of six “Kids’ Night Out” vouchers at the Thoreau Club.  Kids get an evening of fun activities and games, while parents get a few free hours. In addition, enjoy a new large Lands’ End Beach/Tote bag, perfect for family summer outings.  It is already stuffed with new summer/beach gear: Four Lands’ End velour kids’ beach towels in fun summer patterns, summer essentials such as water bottles, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a gift certificate to the Concord Bookshop to select summer reading for any age!  Value:  $340

S3 First Grade – Local, Delicious and Healthy  Enjoy a Full CSA share from First Root Farm in Concord. The share runs from June-October.  The farm grows over thirty kinds of vegetables, everything from tomatoes and green beans to kohlrabi and rutabaga. What you get varies from week to week, depending on the season, but it will usually be 6-14 different items for full shares.  In early summer, you can expect a lot of greens (lettuce, arugula, kale, spinach), radishes, salad turnips, scallions, and herbs.  In late fall, your share will be heavy with roots, leeks, sweet potatoes, and onions.  In between, you can expect a wide array of fresh vegetables.  They strive to provide a balance of different kinds of vegetables – salad greens, cooking greens, long-lasting roots, and tender fruits (squash, tomatoes, peppers).  Pick up is available on Tuesdays, 3-7 or Saturdays, 2-3 at 955 Lexington Road in Concord. firstrootfarm.com
