PTG Co-Presidents’ Message and News

We would like to start off by thanking our Staff Appreciation Committee Co-Chairs, Jordan Binder and Heather Chiancola, for sending all Thoreau staff cookies from Concord Teacakes to show our gratitude. Speaking of gratitude, we would like to once again thank all our dedicated administrators, teachers, staff and students! 2020 has been a challenging year to say the least and we continue to be amazed at all the ways our community has come together to support one another.

We hope you all enjoy your winter break and as always please be mindful of Dr. Hunter’s messages regarding travel and gatherings. We wish you all a happy and healthy New Year! See you in 2021!

Toy Fundraiser for Hospitalized Children

Felipe Padilla, a 4th grader, is leading a virtual Toy Fundraiser to support kids and siblings that will be spending the Holidays at Children’s Hospital. He says:

“I once had to spend Christmas in the hospital, at my brother’s bedside. I would worry about not getting presents under the tree…but do you know that Santa comes to the Hospital too? Yes, he does! Thanks to all his awesome helpers, like you!!!

“This year I am fundraising to help kids and siblings that, like me, will be spending Christmas in the hospital. Here is my fundraiser page: http://fundraise.childrenshospital.org/goto/padillatoydrive

“Thank you for your support!”

Please contact Valeria Petracchi, Felipe’s Mom, if you have any questions: valeriapetracchi@gmail.com
