School Committee Meeting
The next school committee meeting is TONIGHT, November 22 at 7:30 PM in the CCHS Library. An agenda topic that might be of interest is MCAS. Kathy Codianne and the K-8 principals will be presenting. Check out the agenda at: http://www.concordpublicschools.net/schoolcommittee/agendas/2011-11-22-CSC.pdf
Open Table Food Drive
Our food drive will run through November 23. All collected food is donated to Concord’s local food pantry, Open Table. Any non-perishable foods are appreciated, but these are the most wanted items: spaghetti sauce, canned fruit, coffee/tea/hot chocolate mix, cereal, tuna fish/canned stews/soups, jelly, children’s snacks for school (juice boxes, pretzels, fruit cups, etc.), condiments (ketchup, mustard, cooking oil) and all other non-perishable food items. Please: NO CANDY! There will be a box in front of the library for your children to deposit their items. Thank you very much for your generosity and contributions!
Vacation/Travel Book Program
Going away for the Holidays? Over the River and through the woods? If so, keep our school library and the Vacation/Travel Book Program in mind! Have your child pick out a book from a destination spot that can be donated to the school library when you return after the Holidays. This is a great way for families to learn about other towns, cities, or even other countries! A special bookplate will be given to your child to fill out for the dedication. Thanks to the following families for their Summer travel donations:
- The Cods of Cape Cod Love Their Summer Vacation, donated by Jack and Sofie Johnson
- Colorado Impressions Astro the Steller Sea Lion donated by Wipper Family
