Tuesday heard the tiny pitter patter of incoming Kindergartners. We held the 1st of two Kindergarten registrations days. Thanks to Allison Oshinsky and her team for helping to welcome new children and families to our school!

TRAVEL/VACATION BOOK PROGRAM

While you are recharging your batteries over Spring Vacation, whether right here in Concord, or in some funky locale, don’t forget about the Travel/Vacation Book Program. Have the kids pick out a book to donate to the school library. Books donated are shown to the class by Mrs. Pettyjohn, and the kids love that they too can share a little bit about a place they have visited. A trip to a local bookstore is the perfect Spring activity!

BOX TOP CONTEST

The scorecard is UP!  As we enter the last six weeks of our Box Top clipping contest, your kids can see where their classroom stands each day as they enter the building.  Just look for the poster mounted above the collection box.  The books will close on the contest on Friday May 24, so there’s still time for your child’s class to clip their way into the winner’s circle.

I bet some of you think your household doesn’t use many Box Tops products – well, turn over that box of Kleenex!  Look on the back of that ream of Boise paper or that box of Ziploc bags.  You’d be surprised how many you’ll find.  A complete list of participating products is available at http://www.boxtops4education.com/Image.aspx?Id=8358.
