The Annual PTG-sponsored Bus Driver and Crossing Guard Breakfast is being held this Wednesday!  If your child would like to make a card or note for your driver/guard, they may leave it in a marked box in the entry hall of THOREAU, by end of day TUESDAY.  The cards will be given to the drivers and guards at the breakfast.  Thank you!

It has been a busy few weeks in the Thoreau Library! Several families have taken advantage of happy events such as Teacher Appreciation Week and family birthdays to remember special individuals. Thanks to all the following families for their donations:  Eli Levin and his family donated Gabriel Finley and the Raven’s Riddle in honor of Mr. Lemaire and Spy Catchers of Maple Hill in honor of Mrs. Pettyjohn.

The Remington Family gave Chukfi Rabbit’s Big, Bad Bellyache in honor of Ms. Jackson and Danger in the Darkest Hour (Magic Tree House series) in honor of Mrs. Walsh. They also donated Sam & Dave Dig a Hole in honor of Theo Remington’s birthday.

Callen Beveridge dedicated Gravity to Mrs. Thomas, and Gusty dedicated The Serpent’s Curse to Mrs. Deshaies.

The Bates Family wins the prize for largest donation with a total of 6 books! They gave House of Robots in honor of Mr. Hourihan, Drop It, Rocket! in honor of Ms. Henry, Nightmares in honor of Mr. Lemaire, and Dinosaur vs. School in Ms. McKenna’s name.
