Superintendent Screening Committee Volunteer Recruitment
The School Committee is requesting a parent volunteer from the CPS parent community to serve on the Superintendent Search Screening Committee.
-The volunteer will be jointly chosen by the PTG presidents.
-The role of the Screening Committee will be to interview the initial top candidates provided by the search firm, HYA and Associates, and narrow the field to the finalists for the full School Committee to interview.
-The interview days are tentatively scheduled for January 17th-19th, with a training session on the 17th and the interview days on the 18th and 19th.
-Candidates for the Screening Committee should be available for the entire interview schedule.
-Candidates will be chosen to represent the entire CPS parent community. (The PTGs are facilitating the volunteer selection process, but active membership in a PTG board is not a requirement.)
-All interested candidates should forward their information to their respective PTG presidents. The presidents from the four PTG organizations (Alcott, Thoreau, Willard, and CMS) will collaborate to choose the most qualified parent representative to appoint to the screening committee.
-Ideal qualifications may include but are not limited to:
Experience in Education
Experience in Interviewing, Hiring and People Management
Involvement in schools and community
Children in multiple school levels within both CPS and CCHS
Time to devote to a crucial part of the hiring process
Any other experience that a candidate may feel is relevant
