Celebrate Earth Day by creating music makers, colorful banners and masks of local animals and plant species. Imagine a fox costume with a head made from cardboard, papier maché and acrylic paint, or a large butterfly puppet-on-a-stick using tyvek and acrylic paint. You’ll have a chance to choose your own project, draft a plan, and experiment with different materials to make it come to life. All three workshops are led by Musketaquid artist/educator Morningstar Medaye. The students will have the opportunity to bring creations to life at the Earth Day parade and festival on Saturday, April 28. A parent volunteer (or 2) is required at each session.
